A trip to HESC in the late winter sunshine almost gave us the impression that spring was in the air.
This feeling was enhanced by birds in song, particularly the tits and several buds and new shoots showing.
Talking of tits and willow...
and a few more tits for good measure...
Other birds included...
Let's hope the worst of the weather is now behind us.
The birds in the garden continue to feed voraciously and we are still getting seven male blackbirds in the garden at the same time, surely these birds will soon be moving on.
To my delight the male Siskin has made a few fleeting appearances but surely he won't linger for much longer.
Roll on Spring!
