RSBS - Ubatuba.
If you are reading this then the chances are that you have already decided on Brazil as your next birding destination. This being the case there is no better starting point than Ubatuba. A small town nestling on a quiet bay within easy reach of São Paulo airport and surrounded by Atlantic Rainforest teeming with endemic birds, a perfect introduction to your Brazilian adventure.
I am lucky enough to live in Ubatuba and I offer services as a bird guide and tour organiser here and in southeast Brazil.
These tours are all about the birds, having fun and value for money. All hotels and pousadas used are safe, comfortable, reasonably priced and above all, friendly. All food is good, tasty and wholesome from restaurants that are clean and pleasant. We don’t travel in posh air-conditioned coaches, nor stay at posh 5 star hotels. The tours are designed for you to really enjoy your experience of Brazil, a bit like a personal trip, travelling with a new mate who knows the local birds, language and customs and is there to make sure all goes smoothly for you.
Local specialities include Buff-throated Purpletuft, Salvadori's Antwren, Fork-tailed Tody-Tyrant and much more besides plus we are located very close to sites for the 'Marsh' and Black-hooded Antwrens.
