Cambucá.

Situated along the road to Rio this site is usually visited on the return journey from Perequê. Cambucá is a small marshy area with a pool that is the result of, now ceased, sand extraction which nestles alongside a hill covered with forest. However access has now been restricted since the state bought the area. We are currently trying to gain access for future tours.

Marshy areas are in short supply here on this part of the coast so birds like Yellow-browed Tyrant, Wing-banded Hornero and South American Snipe make welcome additions to the Ubatuba list.
