Spotty Spotted Sandpiper.
3 03 2010Our wintering Spotted Sandpipers are getting ready to head north. For most of the southern Summer they remain spotless, but for these last few weeks before they set forth they gain their dapper spotty uniform. We have a very small window of opportunity to see these birds in this plumage, but it is well worth the wait.
